Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958 in very poor circumstances. Her father was a car salesman, and her mother worked as a teacher. Jennifer was the youngest of her family's four children was often with her mom to performances in the theater and was awed by her. When Jennifer was just five years old she divorced her parents. Jennifer spent the majority of her childhood living in British Columbia when her mother was able to move there with four kids.
